Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Aircon Service

Air conditioning has become an essential part of every home and office. Whether it’s providing comfort, a work environment or ensuring production processes are maintained the benefits are clear and well documented. However, like all technology these units require regular maintenance in order to perform at their best and avoid breakdowns.

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is the most risk averse and energy efficient method of maintaining air conditioning systems. PPM ensures maximum uptime of operational critical equipment and reduces costs through energy efficiency savings and maintenance saving from fewer call outs.

PPM includes a series of checks and tests on a regular basis to verify the correct operation of your system. These checks also include health and safety inspections, appropriate discharge inspections and a comprehensive report on the results of each test and any recommendations to improve performance or functionality.

It is important to note that only fully qualified F-Gas registered service engineers may work on refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases. These natural persons obtain their training through quality and qualifications body QQI. Any company working with refrigeration or air conditioning containing F-Gases is required to hold an F-Gas permit known as prior annual notification.
